	Current Position:
	Currently, I am an assistant professor and a leader of a research group including two master
	and three bachelor students at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA),
	China. My research direction has been focused on the Design, Synthesis, and Characterization
	of Sol-gel based nanomaterials for different applications such as lithium-ion batteries and
	Antifouling/Anticorrosion coatings.

	RESEARCH INTERESTS
	With a diverse educational and research background including materials science, welding
	technology, corrosion and degradation of metals and non-metal, fractography and fracture
	mechanics, heat treatment processes, metallography, and microstructure analysis, Dr.
	Heidarsehans can leverage multiple disciplines to conduct research that can tackle issues
	affecting materials and mechanical engineering. He is currently the Lead guest editor in the
	“American Journal of Physical Chemistry”. He has published overally 20 papers (16 SCI,
	4 EI) from which he has contributed in 10 papers as first or corresponding author.
	Currently, he has focused on:
	1. Design, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials as electrodes in lithium-ion
	batteries to Improve their electronic performance and safety.
	2. Sol-gel functional coatings for corrosion and fouling resistance applications.
	3. Experimental assessment of eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors along with computer
	simulations to investigate the molecular structure modification of naturally occurring
	corrosion inhibitors to increase their corrosion inhibition efficiency.
